About Garance Costard

Photographer, filmmaker and marketing specialist creating visual storytelling for brands, tourism, lifestyle and people.

Let's work together

I’m Garance Costard, a photographer, filmmaker, and marketing specialist based in Vernon, British Columbia, in the heart of the Okanagan Valley.

For the past few years, I’ve been helping brands, tourism businesses, restaurants, and entrepreneurs tell their stories through authentic visual content. My work focuses on capturing real moments, meaningful details, and the atmosphere that makes a place, a product, or a brand truly unique.

With a background in communication and brand strategy, I approach every project with both a creative and strategic eye. Photography and video are not just about beautiful images: they are tools to create connection, build identity, and communicate a story that resonates with people.

Garance Costard works across brand storytelling, tourism and landscape imagery, lifestyle photography, and people-focused projects, creating visuals that feel natural, honest, and timeless.

I also create video content designed to bring stories to life through movement, light, and sound: capturing the atmosphere of a place, the energy of a brand, and the authenticity of real moments.

Inspired by nature and the places I explore, I approach blends visual storytelling, documentary-style imagery, and a strong sense of atmosphere.

Whether collaborating with businesses or working with private clients, my goal remains the same: to create visuals that feel genuine and memorable.

And when I don't hold a camera...

When I’m not working as a photographer, filmmaker or marketing specialist, you’ll probably find me outside with my hiking boots on, with animals, or exploring new landscapes or chasing soft light in the mountains. I’ve always been drawn to nature – not just for the views, but for the sense of calm and perspective it brings. I also have a travel Blog in French, and a travel Instagram named @kiwibretons

I’m naturally calm and curious, constantly looking to learn new things, whether it’s watercolor painting, photography techniques, or more recently, pottery. I’m especially drawn to these slow, hands-on practices. They invite patience, attention to detail, and a different way of observing the world.

These creative moments, away from screens and fast-paced environments, deeply influence the way I approach my work. They shape how I see light, textures, and stories – and help me create visuals that feel more intentional, grounded, and authentic.
